I began creating graphics for family businesses while in grade school and have been involved in the arts since a young child. I am a long term resident of the area and live in Manhattan with my wife Christine and son Ryan. After graduating from Manhattan High School, I joined the Air Force and then worked in South America as a contractor for many years. When I decided to return to the United States I began studying graphic design and recieved my BFA from Kansas State University.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Kansas State University. While at KSU I studied figure drawing, ceramics, sculpture, and other fine arts as part of my core art education. My studies in graphic design included training in print, web, and digital media.
